The start of a new season is always a trepidatious time for university Sports Clubs.  How many will sign up? How many will actually come? How many will go the distance?

For the Curling Club, things were no different this year, and a huge amount of work went into planning Freshers Week and beyond.  So how did we do?  Well, 94 students (and one moose – cheers, Robert!) signed up to express an interest in the club, with around a fifth of those coming to the first session last Wednesday!  These are fantastic numbers for the club and we’re expecting busy sessions for the rest of the season.

If you didn’t make it along this week,  don’t worry!  Beginners (and experienced newcomers) are still welcome to come along to our next session,  this Wednesday (28th September) between 3pm and 5pm at Murrayfield Curling.  All the info can be found on this site,  otherwise e-mail curling@ed.ac.uk.
