We want to make sure the members playing for their countries receive the recognition they deserve. At the moment we have one player representing his country and one member coaching on the international stage.
Jakub Polák
Jakub is representing his home country in the Slovakian junior and men's national teams. In the junior team, he played fourth in the World B Junior Curling Championship in Östersund, Sweden. In the national team, he plays lead for skip Gallo and they successfully managed to win the European Curling Championship (ECC) C-division 2015 to qualify for the B-division. A year later in Glasgow, they advanced from ECC B-division to the A-division (top 10 European teams). In the 2017 ECC A-division, Jakub and his team hope to qualify for the 2018 World Curling Championship in Las Vegas to fight for a spot in the PyeongChang Olympic Games. The whole club wishes him and his team the very best for the coming season. Good luck Jakub!
